Earick Rules Out Spurs Buyout Proposal After Approach

American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick has rejected submitting an official acquisition offer for Tottenham.

Spurs had before “clearly turned down” an informal expression of interest from a investment group spearheaded by Earick last month and stated the organization was off the market.

Yet British acquisition regulations required that, following an expression of interest turned down, the group had to submit a bid by the October deadline or declare they would refrain.

Confirmation of the choice was provided in a announcement issued by the club to the financial markets, confirming the club is “no longer in an takeover phase.”

The entrepreneur posted an image of the announcement on digital channels, adding: “It's been a honor engaging with Tottenham Hotspur and the Lewis family's agents over the past few months.

“I maintain high regard for the organization, its management, and its supporters, and hope for continued achievements.”

The club's board thanked the consortium for its “cooperative stance” in discussions and for “acknowledging the definitive view” of the proprietors that the team is unavailable.

The entrepreneur is a one-time music presenter who also was employed in space technology for Nasa before establishing Redacted RnD, which focuses on innovation, communications, athletics and entertainment.

Earick's proposal was the third inquiry rejected by the team's directors since the unexpected exit of executive chairman Levy in the fall.
