Helicopter Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Beach

A helicopter flying above a popular coastal beach unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally dropping height and crashing into a row of palm fronds as onlookers watched.

Videos shared on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl over the beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a steps close to the shoreline route.

First Aid Update

Local firefighters stated five persons were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on the weekend.

Three people on the road were injured. Information on their wounds were not yet released.

What led to the incident was not immediately released.
